My name is Corbin Links, and you can consider me the “Project Manager” of MobileBusinessOwners.com. Some of you may already know me as President of Links Business Group LLC. Together with several “behind the scenes” partners, we created MobileBusinessOwners.com to serve the mobile or portable business owner. I have been a Mobile Business Owner in some form or fashion for over 10 years now, and before that had to travel extensively for business reasons. By trade, I’m a professional writer, business development consultant, eCommerce, and Data Security consultant. All of this comes down to is a fancy way of saying that I help organizations make more money, and protect their data.

You may ask what are my qualifications for building a site, products, and services around the needs of mobile business owners? Perhaps the best self recommendation is that I am one, and have been one for over 10 years. Prior to that, I worked for and with numerous organizations large and small (many of whom are household names, and many of whom are…not….) and traveled extensively. Though it will probably”date” my age, I remember well the first cell phones, the first laptops, “luggables,” and even the Apple Newton. A true portable/mobile/remote business owner has to travel, visit a lot of clients, work with a lot of different people and systems, while trying to maintain some semblance of order and balance in life. It is for the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of mobile business owners that this site is dedicated.

Our purpose here is to provide a unique community to share software, equipment, travel, hotel, and remote working solutions that are useful to business owners that are highly mobile. Whether you are conducting business in a neighbor’s home, or half-way around the world, you need a way to maintain connectedness and efficiency away from a formal office. A primary purpose of this site is to have community-driven content and to focus on improving mobile / portable business life. Last but not least, a core founding principle of MobileBusinessOwners.com is to *not* dive too deep into technology issues and gadgeteering. First and foremost, we are about live, real-world business owners. Many of our core audience members will not consider themselves deeply technical, and are interested in technology only to the extent that it can truly help improve their bottom line, efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
